After being educated in the Prince George’s County Public School System, Kristen M. Dorsey graduated in 1998 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She went on to obtain her medical degree in 2003 from Drexel University College of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a Pediatric Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. During her final year of residency, Dr. Dorsey was chosen to be Chief Pediatric Resident. After completing her residency in June 2007, Dr. Dorsey joined Children First Pediatrics of Montgomery County.
Dr. Dorsey is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the largest professional society for pediatricians. Through her membership, she actively advocates for improved health care for all children. In her spare time, Dr. Dorsey enjoys volunteering in her community and is currently a mentor to a teen mother in the MOMS program of Montgomery County. Dr. Dorsey also mentors adolescent females in Baltimore City through a program she started with several colleagues called “Girl Talk.”
